| Video Discription | Colic in children is such a panic state. The decibel level keeps on increasing and the stress level keeps on increasing and this becomes very unmanageable. I would like to give you few tips. Colic in children is if they are on any dabba food or if they are on heavy milk, they are not able to digest or it is just a gas bolus. In all the events if the intestine moves properly then the bolus will pass and you can manage it very well. The first thing we can do to manage is a simple heat. Take a heat pad, gently heat and put it on the stomach on all the sides so that the stomach muscles will relax and the pain will reduce. Second is the use of asafoetida. Just a pinch of asafoetida boiled with a spoon of water. Put that solution in clockwise motion and keep the cotton on the navel. You will see a lot of gases passing out and the child becomes generally much better the third thing is you can start using ajwain. Boil half a spoon of ajwain with a cup of water. Boil it gently and slightly when is warm, give a drop few minutes to the child each minute it will allow the motion to pass and the child will become comfortable. If you do all this and still not reducing there is a medicine called chamomilla. It is given in 30 potency 2 to 3 doses in a span of half an hour, the child will not panic once the panic is out of the situation, try and locate where is the problem and if you can’t please take the child to the doctor, colic is manageable.
