So here is a little summary. Prince Amalric (Jacob Collins-Levy) and his wife, Agnes (Jodie Comer) have been hoping for the better part of two years for a son. Finally they welcome a young prince Baldwin (Edward Norton). Soon after his birth, Amalric's brother dies, and he is crowned King of Jerusalem. However, the high court feel that Agnes is not a good choice for queen, and seek an annulment. Agnes does not want to be separated from her son and daughter, Sybil (Eva Green), but ultimately, the annulment is granted and she has to leave Jerusalem. Years pass and Amarlic has remarried and has had a daughter, Isabella (Adelaide Kane), he is also stricken with the news that his son has leprosy. Amarlic dies, and Baldwin is crowned at the age of 13.
