| Video Discription | During this Pandemic, I’ve invested a little over 50k, and in this video, I'm going to show you how I made 10 grand by investing. Now Before telling you about how made this 10k: - I made some of the money in a low-risk portfolio - And some by picking a specific stock - And I’m looking for more stocks currently ( but in life you don’t need more than 5 good stock investments to make a fortune) 1. Acorns Moderately Aggressive portfolio - I started using this app back in December of 2018 and I had around $7.60 - Since then I kept investing and now have grown it to a little over 26k - But this is a very low-risk portfolio made out of Bonds and ETFs and it also pays me dividends every year The Idea: - So far I’ve made a 13% gain in my Acorns Portfolio - Which is total of around $3,047.97 – which goes towards the 10k I made ofcorse Before the Pandemic - I think I had a total of 7k invested - And as soon as the market started going down because of the pandemic I started to invest more and more money Tip: Trying to time the market is not necessary. The idea is I saw an opportunity to get my investment at a discount and I went ahead and bought more. Some people sell every time their investments go down, but that not the correct way, because history shows every downturn ends with recovery. 2. Cash App and The Robinhood App - And I put these together because most my gains from these platforms - Come ETFs and bonds and maybe one stock - But it's still a low-risk portfolio overall Cash App: - I have a total of $2400 invested and have again 26% or $638 - And I only used it when I need to invest quickly Robinhood: - I have a total of 13k invested and a gain of 26% also or $2,787.38 - Most of the gains are from ETFs and bonds - ( btw I invest into the same ETFs and bonds, that make up my moderately aggressive portfolio in acorns) Tip: This is a highly diversified portfolio so far, because of its my retirement fund in a sense. So I want to build up passive income and I don’t want some massive risk. And whenever my ETFs or bonds go for lower then I invest more, I don’t wait till they go up to buy more. ( that’s like waiting for a sale to end to go back and buy what you want) 3. Sofi Money - I use this app not just for investing but also as my main debit card these days - And I invest very fast without having to wait for the money to transfer - And I only invest in One Stock Sofi Money: - I’ve invested a little over 17k and have a 36% return or $6,503 - The company I invested in was delta - And like I told you in the begging you don’t need 100 stocks to make money, you just need to big good companies that are going for a discount Tip: When you doing value investing, it doesn’t matter if the market is up or down. Your job is to find companies that are good and undervalued. 4. So my Gain is around - $12,971 or 23% gain on my total portfolio - One side of my portfolio is for passive investing - And the other side is for wealth building Overall: to be clear all the gains could be wiped away you never know - But history shows that the market recovers - So during the market downturn, I tend to invest even more Also: - Waiting for the market to fall to buy investments is also not the best idea - If you understand value investing - Then as long as the company is at a discount then you should invest ( and then more if the market falls) And remember: - I’m 23 years old, I was not reading books by age 11 like warren buffet - But I'm reading and learning more every day - And the best rules to follow are the ones of history and the ones set by people with a solid track record like a warren.
