| Video Discription | In this video, we discuss the step-by-step process of how to compute income tax for individual taxpayers who are mixed-income earners. A mixed-income earner is an individual taxpayer who is employed (earning compensation) and at the same time doing business or practicing their profession. Thus, they are earning incomes from mixed sources. We also present illustrative problems for mixed-income earners for comparison of the different tax regimes applicable. As discussed in this video, the applicable income tax for individual taxpayers who are employed and are earning income from their employment is always the graduated rates. While, as a mixed-income earner, incomes derived from the practice of their profession or from business may be subject to the graduated tax rates or the 8% optional rate depending on whether the taxpayer satisfies the conditions for the 8% optional tax regime.
