| Video Discription | Xiaomi has announced a new eReader powered by the same chipset as the PineNote, an eReader that PINE64 began selling in January. Specifically, the pair rely on the Rockchip RK3566, an SoC that is also found in the NanoPi R5S. For reference, the Rockchip RK3566 contains four ARM Cortex-A55 cores running at 1.8 GHz, a Mali-G52 GPU and an NPU that outputs at up to 0.8 TOPS. Currently only available in China, the Moaan inkPalm Plus has a 5.84-inch E Ink display that resolves at 720 x 1,440 pixels with a 276 PPI. Additionally, Xiaomi has included a 5-point capacitive touchscreen, 24 brightness levels and adjustable colour temperature. Incidentally, the Moaan inkPalm Plus measures 158.9 x 78.65 x 6.9 mm and weighs 140 g. Also, Xiaomi has equipped the Moaan inkPalm Plus with a mono microphone, a USB Type-C port and a touch-sensitive button disguised as a logo. According to JD.com's product page, the eReader's 2,250 mAh battery should last for up to 30 days between charges, equivalent to 6,000 pages. Moreover, the inkPalm Plus runs Android 11 on 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of eMMC flash storage. It remains to be seen whether Xiaomi will sell the Moaan inkPalm Plus outside China, where it is orderable for CNY 1,099 (~US$165).
