| Video Discription | This is my advice when it comes to post hip replacement and you prescribe pain med. Take them as prescribed, however, be fully aware of the short term and long term side effects. So, take them as long as you need to take them, but no longer than you need them. I also learned to not let the pain get ahead of you, especially in the first few days, so I would suggest making up a schedule based on the perception advice and stick to that schedule while monitoring your pain tolerance and adjust getting off them slowly as opposed to cold turkey, which I did and paid a price!
