| Video Discription | Millennia is C Prompt Games & Paradox Interactives new 4x, turn-based strategy game fit to contend with the likes of Sid Meier's Civilization 5, Civ 6, Humankind, or Old World. In this video I'll share my perspective after over 100 hours in Millennia ahead of its official release. While this is not strictly a Millennia review, I'll break down what makes Millennia tick, and the new features it brings to the 4X historical strategy game genre - namely it's (sometimes not-so-historical) ages system that imagines the 'what-ifs' of history and the future. I'll also discuss National Spirits, Domains and Domain Powers, the tech tree, governments, the extensive tile improvement and good system, and the way Millennia structures its cities (Regions and Vassals) differently. Covering the options, accessibility & settings, as well as performance concerns will also feature. And of course, I'll address some of my criticisms of Millennia and the elephant in the room - the graphics, aesthetics and UI.
