Kanipakkam Vinayagar Temple is located in the town of Kanipakkam in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. This is one of the largest Ganesha temples in our country. Vara Siddhi Vinayagar, who is the source of this temple, appeared as Swayambu Murthy from a well. The well water is always flowing around this Ganesha. He does not have any big decorations like the children of Namur. Long trunk, wide ears and small eyes are not always there. He is as self-sufficient as he appeared in the well. Another highlight of this temple is that Kanipakkam Ganesha is growing day by day. There are two other temples near this temple. One is Manikandeswarar Temple. Another one is Varadaraja Swamy Temple. It is said that this is the temple that King Jaya came to in a dream and asked Perumal to build it.
