Jumping right in, we do a seat delete to begin our build. Starting out, we begin the building plans by using cardboard and tape to make our template for the platform. We gather up as many materials at hand while repurposing others. The bed platform is made up of 4 pieces. The overall sizes are 64" length, 42" +/- wide, 36" +/- height. The key to removing the rear seat is it gave us the extra headroom. Not to mention the weight savings. Making the platform a wash on weight. A few of the general items used for his build: 1-Sheet 3/8" Plywood 1- 1"x6" board 1-Hinge for folding leg 4-Metal Ez-Up repurposed legs. Wood could be used instead. Such as a 2"x2" 2- 2"x2" legs 1-Dollar store carpet mat 4-Rubber grommets for Ez-Up Legs. If you use wood, you could also tack the carpet onto the feet if needed. 2-Pack Rubber gym mats - Velcro strips for the rubber mats Cardboard and tape to make a template.
