| Video Discription | The first bank notes featuring King Charles’ portrait were released on Wednesday almost two years after he succeeded the late Queen Elizabeth. His Majesty’s portrait will appear on the new £5, £10, £20 and £50 bills while existing notes featuring his mother will continue to circulate. King Charles is the second monarch to appear on these notes, after Queen Elizabeth II who was first featured in 1960. The new notes will be released gradually to replace worn-out currency…or to meet any increase in demand.
