All the music in this mix I selected from my collection of CDs, Tapes and LPs to pay tribute to a lost era of amazing music. The Wave was just one of several stations (WNUA, KKSF, KJZZ...etc) that featured this premier "New Music" back in the 80s, and it was truly a magical time for those who experienced it... ...This playlist pays tribute to the 'Nite Trax and World Music hours on The Wave from 1987-1993 timeframe...In fact, The Wave prompted stations across the United States to adopt the "New Adult Contemporary" format. ...This music was new, it was unlike anything I had ever heard, and listening really takes me back to so many amazing, ethereal memories. It put you in an atmosphere, lifted you to higher places, man I really miss those days of this now "lost" era of amazing music.
