| Video Discription | Intending candidate, Kelhosenuo Khruomo, on May 18 declared her candidature from Ward no-1 under Kohima Municipal council. Khruomo is all set to contest the first ever municipal election in the state with 33% reservation for women scheduled to be held on June 24. Out of 19 wards in Kohima town, 6 wards are reserved under women reservation. The State has a total of 418 wards spread over 39 municipalities and town Councils, out of which 142 wards are reserved for women. Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung fall under Municipal councils, while the rest are Town councils. .
