| Video Discription | While living on Shlichus in the Philippines, we have to be creative with ways to get kosher food! Follow along to see how we make our own Chalav Yisrael Cheese in a quick and easy 40 minute process. We followed the recipe by Sauce Stache. thanks! Enjoy! Recipe: Mix 1 gallon of milk (16 cups) with 1 cup water and 1 1/4 tsp citric acid until 88 degrees f Then put Vegan Rennet (mix 1/8 tsp rennet into 1/4 cup water then add to the milk.) Let it sit 10 mins without touching Use a skewer or knife to "cut the cheese into squares" Bring it to 110 f slowly mixing Strain it and add salt Pour boiling water on the cheese and use a spoon to lift and drop the cheese to let it start having "cheese pulls" Shape the cheese and put in ice bath Store in the Refrigerator.
