| Video Discription | Hey ya'll!! Here is one of my absolute favorite keto salads!! The Italian sub salad has plenty of keto goodness - lots of fat and lots of salt! A for sure remedy for keto flu as well because of the high sodium content. Because it does have processed meat, try not to have it too often! But if you can find these meats nitrate free, that's even better!!! Here's all you need to make this delightfully refreshing and FILLING salad: Italian Sub Salad: 3 leaves romaine lettuce, chopped 2 handfuls of shredded iceberg lettuce 1 Roma Tomato (or a half tomato if your macros are a huge concern) 1 sliver red onion 1-2 tbsp Italian olives 1tbsp banana peppers 1 serving size portion of mozzarella cheese 1 tsp Italian seasoning 3 thin slices old world pepperoni 3 thin slices of old world Genoa salami 3 thin slices of old world hot capiciola ham (These meats are optional, substitute whatever type of Italian meat you like) Black pepper to taste 2 tbsp Italian sub dressing (recipe below) 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional) Italian Sub Dressing: 1/2 cup olive oil 1 tbsp red wine vinegar 1 tbsp Italian seasoning Pinch of both salt and pepper to taste 1. Wisk all ingredients together and let sit for at least an hour. 2. Toss salad ingredients together with dressing and enjoy!!!
