This lane has been there for almost a century old and has been lovingly refurbished recently. Kwai Chai Hong is translated directly from cantonese 鬼仔巷. It's mean "Little Ghost Lane" in english. The origin of the name is referring to naughty children as Kwai Chai 鬼仔, this is where the kids play. Another theory is gangsters gather in this place and the members called Kwai Chai 鬼仔.
