In August 2017 I had a five day break in Germany, travelling from Stuttgart to Düsseldorf. En-route I stayed one night in Königswinter. This film features views of and from the Drachenfelsbahn as it ascends and descends the Drachenfels in Königswinter. It features the complete journeys, taken from a front mounted Veho Muvi action cam, as well as extensive views from the summit of the Drachenfels including views of the Nordrhein-Westfalen and Rhineland-Palatinate landscape and the Rhine Valley below. Within the film, the following locations and features are identified: Drachenfelsbahn, Löwenburg, Meerberg, Bad Honnef, River Rhine, Nonnenwerth, Rhöndorf, Wachtberg, Fraunhofer Institut für Kommunikation, Ein Sagenhafter Ort, Mehlem, Bonn, Cologne, and Burg Drachenfels. The Drachenfels ("Dragon's Rock") is a hill (321 metres (1,053 ft)) in the Siebengebirge uplands between Königswinter and Bad Honnef in Germany, that is the subject of much tourism and romanticism in the North Rhine-Westphalia area. The Drachenfels Railway (Drachenfelsbahn) is a rack railway line in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany.
