| Video Discription | Title: Topological data analysis to detect fake faces from images and videos Abstract: The aim of Topological data analysis (TDA) is to provide new topological and geometric tools to analyse complex and high-dimensional data. This talk will cover a brief introduction to TDA and its application for image tampering detection in general, and in particular Fake face detection. We will discuss how one can build topological shapes from digital images based on ‘image landmark’. Image landmarks of interest are pixels representing texture feature descriptors such as Local binary patterns (LBP), central LBP, radial LBP, 8-neighbour superpixel and others. We shall demonstrate the richness of TDA in dealing with image tampering by testing the performance of this approach on a large benchmark image dataset of passport photos in detecting various known morphing attacks. Furthermore, I will demonstrate a pilot study of using TDA for the detection of DeepFake videos. Finally, I will also illustrate an initial version of a software we developed, called DAAR topology for Topological Image Analysis. This work is a collaboration with Prof. Sabah Jassim at The university of Buckingham. The software, DAAR topology, is developed in collaboration with Dashti Ali , a mathematician and software developer in Toronto Canada. dXB-HXppa7A |
