Built in wood to a traditional design, it is one of only a dozen or so side friction roller coasters left in the world. It was completed in 1951, the last ride of this type ever built. The ride was designed by Valdemar Lebech from Denmark, based on the design of the roller coaster at Dyrehavsbakken Amusement Park in Denmark (1932). The roller coaster is gravity-powered, the trains being hauled up the first hill by cable. The track length is 960 metres, one circuit lasts just over 2 minutes, and the top speed on the first downhill run is about 60 km/h.
