| Video Discription | Happy New Year to all the loyal subscribers to my channel and to herald a new year (and the interpretation of some, including me: a new decade ) an iconic pop song from 1979, and a hit which was just ending its amazing chart run at the end of that decade - the 1970's: a period that saw pop music soar and develop with the help of genres like disco, punk, country and new wave. Robin Scott aka 'M' scored a #1 hit in Australia and America, and a #2 in his British homeland with this catchy anthem. 'Pop Muzik' whilst not his only hit: 'Moonlight & Muzak' would be a minor hit in Australia (#37) spending 3 months climbing the chart in early 1980, was really the only song he is known for the world over and it still sounds great 40 years on. I have used the 12 inch version of the song and done my best to create an extended video using the original clip. It is far from perfect, and proof positive that I have not just ripped off a record company extended video, but made my own!!! I had a lot of fun creating it as it is such a great song and even in its simplicity, it is a catchy and enjoyable piece of retro pop. uchWxEiPIww |
