Ratan leaves home with his child brother when he is falsely charged in a criminal case. He gets shelter at Sahadev’s house in a slum. Sahadev has a bear named Jhumur. They perform on streets to earn their livelihood. Ratan and Kajri, the slum owner’s daughter fall in love. Kajri starts taking care of Manik when Sahadev and Ratan are away at work. Both Jhumur and Manik suddenly fall sick. Jhumur dies and Manik is detected with a tumor in his stomach and needs an urgent surgery. Ratan dresses up as Jhumur as starts performing. Nobody is able to recognize him. He even starts performing in Mr. Bhaben’s circus. Tanima, Mr. Bhaben’s discovers the truth but Ratan pleads with her not to do so. Dressed as the bear he gets violent at Tanima’s engagement party to save her from this unwanted relationship. Bhaben shoots Ratan and his truth is revealed. All the differences and misunderstandings are resolved.
