In this video, I discuss a highly requested topic- body acne which encompasses back and buttocks acne (“backne” and “buttne”) or the technical term being "folliculitis." I previously made a dance video on the topic which had great feedback on my other social media channels given that it affects males and females but I will elaborate on it here. I will discuss lifestyle changes to help with this as well as preferred cleansers to help decrease chances of developing inflammation of the follicles (folliculitis) including benzoyl peroxide and the BHA Salicyclic acid. I will also touch on “fungal acne” which is not a formal term in dermatology. The technical term is Malassezia folliculitis and is not a very common condition but I will discuss it in the second half of the video.
