And if at one point we observed Peder pursuing a solo career filled with sparkling and fuzzy electronic music, Malcolm gifts us with contemplation and withdrawal, helping us along the way to better understand the influence of each musician within the Roll The Dice unit. In fact, as we listen to Pardon’s solo début with “Hello Death”, filled with the warmth of strange familiarity. After the presence of Roll the Dice and Peder Mannerfelt in the Semibreve festival, in 2014 and 2015, respectively, it was a privilege to host in 2022 the world live debut of “Hello Death”. That privilege is even greater when we have the pleasure of doing so in the beautiful venue that is Capela Imaculada do Seminário Menor. To relive or to see for the first time, here is Malcolm Pardon in one of the finest moments of last year's edition. [pt] Conhecemos Malcom Pardon sobretudo em âmbito Roll The Dice, um duo que mantém com Peder Mannerfelt e que agitou e agigantou a segunda década deste século com alguma da mais envolvente música sintetizada. E se, a determinada altura, vimos Peder perseguir uma carreira a solo revestida de eletrónica faiscante e peluda, já Malcolm presenteia-nos com contemplação e recolhimento, ajudando-nos pelo caminho a compreender melhor a influência de cada músico dentro da unidade Roll The Dice. De facto, ao escutarmos a estreia de Pardon a solo com “Hello Death”, revisitamos os ambientes lânguidos e cinemáticos do duo, preparatórios de musculosos desfechos épicos. Embora com o piano como principal protagonista, também aqui nenhum dos seus temas se esquiva a recompensar-nos com imagens de um pequeno lugar aquecido pela estranha familiaridade.
