| Video Discription | Hello Guys, We visit mekedatu, Sangama and Chunchi falls recently, will give you a quick brief about the places here. Mekedatu is Located in Kanakapura Taluk, it is an ideal and great spot for one day trip from Bangalore and Mysore. Also Sangama is the confluence of Cauvery and Arkavati rivers. We need to cross the river in dense green forest and majestic hills, while you listen to the thunderous roar of the Cauvery River, as well as the sweet chirping of birds. After crossing the river cavern you have to catch the bus which is operated from local people and organised by government of Karnataka. And here the Cauvery river passes through a narrow crevice where it is believed that even goats could leap across at this places so it named as Mekedątu (Goat’s leap) Timings: Mekedatu can be visited between 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM on all days. Boat and bus services stop after 5.30 and the public are not allowed to stay back in Mekedątu. Note: October to March will be the best season to visit Mekedątu. Beware of slippery surfaces and sharp rocks. Swimming is not recommended in the region. Mekedatu and Sangama may be inaccessible during monsoon months due to dangerous water levels. And Enroute you can also visit Chunchi Falls, which is almost 50 feet high falls, is it fed by the river Arkavati. This place is extremely popular as a picnic spot. These falls are a perfect way to escape the grind. Please note that One should not try to step closer to the falls, as it might be risky and dangerous. Chunchi falls witnessed accidents before.
