| Video Discription | With Phabeni not drinking sufficient milk formula, we made the decision to try feeding him goat milk. While he walks with the herd in the early morning, he still returns to the orphanage afterwards so to conserve energy and slowly increase his weight. In this video, big bull Jabulani visits Phabeni at the orphanage to give him comfort. It is the first time we have needed to turn to goat milk as an option, with Phabeni being temperamental in taking other milk formula. Phabeni is drinking the goat milk well and has even put on some weight. The goat milk does lack in a sufficient supply of some nutrients that Phabeni needs but the important thing currently is getting him to accept bottles and drink. We will work on adding extra nutrients to it in the future as Phabeni’s stomach adapts to this new milk. Fortunately Phabent has not had any diarrhoea or stomach problems on account of the milk change.
