| Video Discription | “A book is an escape to another world - a distraction from the horrors of war….” In an attempt to bring down Ukraine, Russia continues to destroy Ukrainian culture, museums, schools, colleges, and libraries. This is why Nova Ukraine’s initiative for children’s libraries for displaced people and people in newly freed regions is so critical. These photos show one such project in the city of Brovary in partnership with the charity “From Dreams to Reality.” The organization is responsible for over 100 kids from difficult situations. Our coordinators picked some amazing Ukrainian books of various genres to stock the library. While some enjoyed the fairytale books, others gravitated toward encyclopedias and nonfiction books about nature, oceans, and cars. Thank you for supporting this important project.
