| Video Discription | The Missouri American Water MR340 race is back in Kansas City, Kan., for its ninth year. In what is billed as the world’s longest, nonstop river race, 230 canoeists and kayakers will attempt to paddle 340 miles down the Missouri River within 88 hours. Racers pushed off at 8 a.m. Tuesday from the Kaw Point Park and will finish in St. Charles, Mo., by Aug. 15. Racers have traveled to Kansas City from 30 states and three countries for this year’s race, said Scott Mansker, RiverMiles race director.
