That sounds tempting, because carefully applying bugspray all over your exposed skin is a bit annoying. We tested two of these anti-mosquito wristbands in a cage with 200 female yellow fever mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti). Our mosquito specialist Max holds his arm in the cage with the wristband that was freshly removed from the packaging. The mosquitoes are unimpressed and he gets countless bites within a few seconds. His skin was only protected directly under the bracelet. Personal conclusion: Anti-mosquito wristbands look good at best, but they don't keep mosquitoes away! -JscGh7hP_M |
