1. Giethoorn, Netherlands
Giethoorn is a mostly car-free village in the northeastern Dutch province of Overijssel. It’s known for its boat-filled waterways, footpaths, bicycle trails and centuries-old thatched-roof houses.
The village is very beautiful, unique, and attractive by its distinct vegetation. The village has no roads. People ride around in the water on boats, just like in Venice.
Giethoorn is a very popular attraction among Chinese tourists. The village of only 2,620 inhabitants sees between 150,000 and 200,000 Chinese tourists every year.

2. Bibury, England
Bibury is a charming, typically Cotswold, village just a short drive from Cirencester. Bibury is the most beautiful and the most picturesque village in England.
The village is known for its honey-coloured 17th century stone cottages, as known as Arlington Row, with steeply pitched roofs, which once housed weavers who supplied cloth for fulling at nearby Arlington Mill. The Mill is now a private residence.
Bibury is particularly frequented by Japansese tourists. This is largely attributed to Emperor Hirohito having stayed in the village on his European tour.
The largest building in Bibury is Bibury Court, build in 1633. The court was converted into a hotel which is not permanently closed.

3. Freudenberg, Germany
Freudenberg is located in a rural area about a 90 minute drive away from Frankfurt am Main or Cologne.The town lies on the German-Dutch holiday road called the Orange Route, joining towns, cities and regions associated with the House of Orange.
The town’s main attractions are the city park on a hilltop, the Technology Museum, and the local hiking trails. Busloads of tourists regularly visit Freudenberg to admire the panoramic city view from the park.

4. Hallstatt, Austria
Austria’s oldest and most photographed village.
Hallstatt is a village on Lake Hallstatt's western shore in Austria's mountainous Salzkammergut region. Its 16th-century Alpine houses and alleyways are home to cafes and shops.
Hallstatt is known for its production of salt, dating back to prehistoric times, and gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, the archaeological culture linked to Proto-Celtic and early Celtic people of the Early Iron Age in Europe, c.800–450 BC.
Hallstatt is at the core of the "Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut Cultural Landscape" declared as one of the World Heritage Sites in Austria by UNESCO in 1997.
Hallstatt is a popular tourist attraction owing to its small-town appeal and can be toured on foot in ten minutes.

5. Reine, Norway
Reine is the administrative centre of Moskenes Municipality in Nordland County, Norway. The fishing village is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago, above the Arctic Circle, about 300 kilometres southwest of the town of Tromsø.
The 0.28-square-kilometre village has a population of 314 which gives the village a population density of 1,121 inhabitants per square kilometer.
Reine has been a commercial centre since 1743. Today tourism is important, and despite its remote location, many thousands of people visit annually.
The village is situated on a promontory just off the European route E10 highway, which passes through the village. Reine is located immediately to the south of Sakrisoya and Hamnøya.
