Most oral pathological processes are benign (non-cancerous), but there are certain diseases, such as cancer and severe infections, that require urgent treatment to prevent serious consequences. Many oral pathologies do not present with symptoms of pain or discomfort in early stages, which makes them hard for the average patient to detect. The best way to prevent oral pathologies from developing is to visit your dentist regularly. If you notice any significant changes in the texture, shape, or color of your mouth’s lining, or if your dentist identifies any pathology, please contact our office immediately. Our doctors are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of oral pathologies and are happy to meet with you. Dr. Phillips is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Park Cities Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates. He attended Texas A&M University and completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in Zoology in 1993. He went on to Baylor College of Dentistry, where he graduated in 1997 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He continued his studies by attending Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and earning his medical degree. Dr. Ray is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Park Cities Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology in 1995 from the University of Texas at Austin. He continued to Baylor College of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1999. Dr. Ray joined the Navy after graduating from dental school before continuing on to complete his oral and maxillofacial residency.
