When the temple jewels are stolen, vijaykant charges sriman with the theft and a heartbroken sriman commit suicide. But it is later revealed that he was in fact innocent. Sriman's mother accuses vijaykant of being responsible for her son's death and to make amends for his false charge, vijaykant sends bhoopathy to her house to replace sriman.
