| Video Discription | We have been busy here at Walker’s Logs, enlarging our kiln drying facility as well as building a new workshop. In the centre of our yard we had a large old former cattle shed, which we have knocked down to make way for a new workshop and state of the art kiln. The project has taken about 4 months to complete, but now we have increased our drying capacity by around 35%. The kiln was supplied by Kiln Services Limited, a British manufacturer who has led the way in wood drying since 1975. Each batch holds 135m3 of logs, which are loaded in to the kiln in our purpose made stillages, that we designed and built in house. Both our kilns have now been supplied by Kiln Services, and are running on biomass wood chips. We are proud that all our our kiln dried logs are dried using 100% renewable fuels. The building, groundworks and concreting was carried out by MRH Construction, a local Gloucestershire firm, who did a fine job of coordinating the works, and delivering the project on time. h0t482IjKpQ |
