We returned to our roots on this one. It’s the music we grew up with - the music we played when we were just a group of friends cranking out tunes at a ceilidh or dance. In the early days, we learned a lot of our tunes by ear from old cassette tapes. From the hidden rarities of So-and-So playing to themselves in a kitchen to the mass-copied tapes of Buddy at the dance, these were the holy grail of tune hunting and we still bust out the ole cassette player and have listening parties. We sat in Jason’s kitchen for hours going through our favourite cassettes and got this set of tunes from tapes of the Chisholms (Cameron, Margaret, Maybelle, and Angus), Winston Fitzgerald, John Morris Rankin, and Arthur Muise.
