Strategy: - You can choose one of several charge shots. The "bakudan" shot I picked is my favorite. It hits behind you (important for the cats in stage 4), hits both air and ground targets, and doesn't need careful aiming. When in doubt, spam this shot as fast as you can charge it! - The biggest worry for clearing the game is rank: The longer you go without dying, the harder things get; after you die, it eases up. I take one *deliberate* death at Tweedledum and Tweedledee because I can easily recover at the start of the next stage. You can set the game to have extends (the console port does), which I think would make it far easier - not just because you can afford mistakes, but because the bullet patterns will be gentler. -You can choose different side-arms. I think the cannon is best for damage output, but other can be good for clearing out popcorn enemies and destructible bullets. - I think high scores and bell pickups increase rank too, so in this run I'm deliberately avoiding bells. But if you do want a high score, a big bell chain (pick up all the yellow bells without letting any drop to the bottom) racks up big points fast. XQ5G5xOXVCU |
