| Video Discription | Ok, the crashed boat rebuild has went great, now on our 3rd time out the boat started up and began to idle very high and putting it in gear was extremely difficult as it we would have to just slam it into gear. The solution to this issue ended up being the Air Solenoid Valve or was other call it an IAC Valve. The part # is Mercury 877805T. This is for Mercury Four Stroke Engines from I believe all the way back to the 2000's to around 2018. Check your model though. Boats.net is a great resource for parts. This should apply to all Mercury 30hp 40hp 50hp and 60hp. I believe it also applies to bigger engines as well. There is no idle adjustment on these engines and this solenoid is what controls the idle on a these Small HP Mercury engines.
