| Video Discription | Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday, June 25 inaugurated the long-awaited Padma Bridge. Do you know that 20 countries including India contributed to the making of the Padma bridge? In a record, the Padma bridge was built in 66,168 hours. Padma Setu is the country’s longest and entirely built with domestic funding. The bridge is a 6.15-km-long road-rail four-lane bridge, which is built over the Padma River. It connects the south-western Bangladesh with the capital and other parts. The inaugurated carried lot of significance as the structure was built entirely with domestic funding. News agency PTI quoted PM Sheikh Hasina saying, “I have no complaints against anyone, but I reckon those who opposed the Padma Bridge construction plan and called it a 'pipe dream', lack self-confidence. I hope this bridge will boost their confidence. This bridge is not just bricks, cement, iron, and concrete... This bridge is our pride, a symbol of our capacity, our strength, and our dignity. This bridge belongs to the people of Bangladesh."
