| Video Discription | Located on Großer Müggelsee’s northern shore, this historically listed beach is a lovely place for a swim. It still bears the imprint of the German architect Martin Wagner, who designed the 160-metre-long terrace with stairs down to the beach in 1930. The beach recently underwent a partial renovation and now has changing rooms, toilets and a small beach market. Under Communist East Germany, the size of the area was increased by around 21 hectares. Since then, sun worshippers have flocked to this 500-metre-long beach which merges into the park. The beach is said to have enough space for 25,000 bathers.
