He is the Festival Chairman of the "Quezon City International Pink Film Festival". Deocampo received his Master of Arts degree in Cinema Studies in New York University and his Certificate in Film in Paris. He has won numerous awards for his pioneering gay-themed documentaries and personal films that touched on themes of politics, and gender.
