| Video Discription | Want to get into 3-gun or Multi gun shooting competitions? Whether it's USPSA Multigun, a 3gun event, or a 2 gun relay you need a good handgun. This video discusses some of the features of a good 3gun pistol and gives a few commonly used examples along with my personal recommendations. I use a Springfield Armory XDM 4.5" in 9mm in USPSA Production, multi gun, and 3 gun. Features you'll find in the best 3 gun pistols are reliability, high magazine capacity, 9mm or .40S&W caliber, cheap magazines, aftermarket accessories, a full size pistol, preferably striker fired, and a comfortable ergonomic grip. A few gun options are a Glock 17 or Glock 34, S&W M&P, Springfield Armory XD or XDM, Sig P226, and STI 1911 pistols. Getting pricier magazine wise, you could get a H&K VP9. Never done action shooting? Starting with just a pistol in a USPSA production class or an equivalent competition is a great way to get into 3 gun / multi gun without spending a lot of money.
