Why am I taking on this IMPOSSIBLE and INSANE challenge? Several Reasons… ⚽️ As a former D1 Football player, I wish I would have played soccer growing up and I am living with no regrets to do it now! I am going to work harder than I ever have before to make this a reality! (Will post workouts and schedule at a later point) ⚽️ To showcase how HARD this sport is and how ELITE USA and International Soccer players are. SO MUCH TALENT, DEDICATION, AND SKILL. ⚽️ To bring awareness to the beautiful game as a former football and basketball player to bring it into the biggest spotlight in our country that it deserves. To make it the top sport in our country and inspire this next generation. ⚽️ To be a World Cup Dad for my kids by taking on the hardest challenges, persevering when things get difficult, and pushing myself to the absolute edge of my mental, physical, and emotional abilities. ⚽️ To develop warrior habits of sleep, diet, exercise, time with family, intentionality with work, relationships, and growth. ⚽️ To help fund, strengthen, and develop youth soccer programs, urban communities, and to showcase the GOOD the sport brings to every community it touches. ⚽️ To challenge dads, families, and youth to step up, have mass amounts of fun on the journey, and to set tenacious goals that bring out the best in them and others around them. I’m far from realizing this dream. Very out of shape, have been complacent in my habits and goals, and fixing to change all of that starting NOW! I welcome both who cheer me on and jeer.
