It is the second last game of the league stage. Both NZ and PNG are out of contention. They have been knocked out. NZ were found wanting against Afghanistan and Windies. That meant they were knocked out as the other two teams have been unbeaten so far. PNG on the other hand have been winless so far as they lost to Uganda in this group. And now have a huge task ahead of them. NZ did hammer Uganda. But that is little consolation for a team which has always been consistent at the big tournaments. They would have been disappointed. Trent Boult would be playing his last T20 WC game and would want to bow out on a high. Southee and a few others might also want to do the same. It is a WC game and there is a lot of pride at stake. PNG also would want to give a good account of themselves which has been missing after their first game against the Windies. The big units like NZ and others have usually bowled first against Associate nations to enhance their NRR. But now that is out of the way. Maybe NZ might bat first and give their batters some time in the middle. who has confirmed that this will be his last T20 World Cup. Kane Williamson: We will have a bowl. It is raining and it's a new wicket and we will make first use of it with the ball in hand. We want to keep getting better. One change - Ish Sodhi for James Neesham. Assad Vala: Try to improve on the last few games it will be tough but a great challenge against a tough side. Two changes for us. New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to field What to expect: The matches played here have all been low-scoring encounters so far and another bowler-friendly contest can be expected. On the weather front there is a high chance of rain affecting the game with thunderstorms forecast on the match day. Papua New Guinea: Jack Gardner and Hila Vare haven't got an opportunity yet in this World Cup and PNG might look at including them for their final game. We come here to do a job and perform the way we know how to perform and play the game in the way that we want to play it. Unfortunately we've been off the ball over the last couple of weeks and that's what it takes to not qualify. So it's unfortunate but I think there's still some tremendous talent inside that dressing room and coming through the ranks in New Zealand cricket. However in the match against Uganda the bowlers made sure that there was no pressure whatsoever on the top order as they skittled the opposition out for 40 which the Blackcaps chased down in 5.1 overs for their first win.
