It breaks up larger tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks of time, which allows people with ADHD to pay attention for longer periods. For instance, instead of trying to focus on writing an essay for two hours straight, the Pomodoro technique suggests taking short five-minute breaks in between 25-minute blocks of work. This helps keep you from getting overwhelmed and losing motivation or focus. 🚀 By setting a timer, you can also help keep yourself on track. Once the timer runs out, take a short break to do something else for five minutes. This gives your mind time to reset and allows you to come back feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the task again. 💪 Not only does the Pomodoro technique give your brain regular breaks, it also provides structure and accountability that can be extremely helpful for those with ADHD. Studies have shown that breaking down larger tasks into smaller pieces actually makes them easier to remember and complete.
