| Video Discription | We create a wildlife pond from scratch! We need extra soil for our event dome landscaping so we decide to dig a large wildlife pond where our land is usually quite wet. We start by digging a rectangle that's probably around 15 metres x 6 metres. The ground is clay so we don't need to add a pond liner. We are given some blue lias stone from some friends so we edge the pond in that, and create a waterfall feature with the stone too. We need to put in a fence as William loves to just get in the pond and play with his monster truck in it so we fence it off and put in a gate with a padlock! We construct a DIY mesh weld fence with 3 inch timbers. Finally we add some oxygenating pond plants - Hornwort and Water Soldiers which are supposed to be good for beginners.
