| Video Discription | WRITTEN RECIPE FOR KONKANI STYLE POMFRET CURRY: INGREDIENTS: 4 Medium Sized Pomfret (Paplet) 2 tbsp Turmeric 1 inch Tamarind 1/2 cup Fresh Coconut 6-7 Black Peppercorns 7-8 tbsp Coriander Seeds Salt to taste 3 tbsp Red Chilli Powder 4 tbsp Cumin Seeds 1/2 Lemon 1 inch Ginger 9-10 Garlic cloves 9-10 Curry leaves 1 Big Onion Coriander leaves 1/2 Cup Water METHOD: 1. Wash the fish clean. Soak tamarind in 1/2 cup of warm water. 2. Marinate the fish with turmeric,salt and juice of lemon juice. 3. Heat a small tsp of oil and add coriander seeds and roast for 5 mins on medium-low flame. Transfer it in an another bowl. Roast everything separately. 4. Add cumin seeds and roast for about 5 mins on low flame. 5. Add black peppercorns and roast for 2 mins. 6. Add a chopped onion and cook till it turns soft. 7. Grind onions, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, coriander leaves, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and fresh coconut into a smooth paste. 8. Heat oil, add garlic and curry leaves. Let it sputter. 9. Add the grinded paste and cook till oil separates. 10. Add red chilli powder and turmeric and mix well. 11. Add water and mix well. Cover it with a lid and let it come to a boil on medium flame. 12. Add the marinated fish. Cover and cook for 7-8 mins on medium-low flame. 13. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Cover it and let it rest for 5 mins before serving. Your Konkani Style Pomfret Curry is ready.
