| Video Discription | The video is the recording of the Online Conference 'AI for Fundamental Rights at Work: Is the EC’s Proposal on a European Approach to AI Up to It?', hosted jointly by the Department of Business Law at Lund University, and the Labour Law Community – LLC, 10 June 2021, h 14.00-18.00 CEST. As part of the wider European Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, and following the publication on 19 February 2020 of the White Paper on AI - A European approach to excellence and trust, the European Commission published on 21 April the Proposal for a Regulation on the European Approach to Artificial Intelligence - or Artificial Intelligence Act. This instrument would create the first European legal framework on AI, and one of the first in the world. The Proposed Regulation aims to boost AI in Europe while safeguarding EU values and fundamental rights. But what about fundamental rights at work? The conference, divided in two sessions, attempts to answer this question: in the first one, after the greetings of Marzia Barbera and Jörgen Hettne, Michael Veale, Guido Smorto, Rosanna Fanni and Frank Pasquale address the Proposal in general terms, through different angles; in the second session, Miriam Kullmann, Aude Cefaliello and Valerio De Stefano reflect on the EC's Proposal from a labour law perspective. Questo strumento creerebbe il primo quadro giuridico europeo sull'intelligenza artificiale, nonché uno dei primi al mondo. Il regolamento proposto mira a promuovere l'IA in Europa salvaguardando i valori e i diritti fondamentali dell'UE. Ma cosa prevede per i diritti fondamentali nei luoghi di lavoro? Il convegno, articolato in due sessioni, cerca di rispondere a questa domanda.
