| Video Discription | Almost every remote corners of Swiss Alps has a hidden glacier. They will not survive the sins of mankind too long. So it is wise to enjoy them as much as possible before they become history permanently. This none reversible damage to the nature had already buried many such glaciers. The remaining are struggling for existence. This year the alpine glaciers started at 30% below the average ice cover of last 10 years. Another disaster summer for the entire alpine range. Several magical routs had to be closed down due to unstable conditions including the stunningly beautiful iceberg lake of Gerenpass; which I had the good opportunity to visit last year. So we took some of the opportunities to witness the beautiful Forno Glacier at the border of Switzerland and Italy. The 1200 meters climb was demanding specially as the steepest part comes at the end during the last part of the day. But the reward was heart warming.
