The NBA continues to work on renewing its broadcast rights. The league remains in talks with Warner Bros. Discovery about renewing its package of games. But sources tell me the most likely next move is for the NBA to sign papers inking a deal with NBCUniversal -- a rival bidder. If that happens, Warner Bros. Discovery will then have an option to match. If it does, that's where things might get thorny. If the league wants NBCU over WBD, there isn't clear legal language that obviously allows the NBA to simply walk away from Warner Bros Discovery if it agrees to match. Story here:
