The Commander of CENTCOM General Michael Erik Kurilla arrived in Israel over the weekend as the official guest of the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi 🇺🇸🤝🇮🇱 The commanders held an operational situational assessment, discussed recent regional challenges, the #war in Gaza, the developments on the northern border and the strengthening of the strategic partnership in the region against the Iranian threat and Iran's proxies in the region.

Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40) were rescued in a special operation by the IDF, ISA and Israel Police from 2 separate locations in the heart of Nuseirat after being kidnapped by Hamas from the #Nova music festival. They are in good medical condition and have been transferred to the 'Sheba' Tel-HaShomer Medical Center for further medical examinations. We will continue to make every effort to bring the #hostages home.

Amiram Cooper, Haim Perry, Yoram Metzger and Nadav Popplewell. These are the names of four #hostages who were abducted on October 7 and killed a few months ago while they were held hostage by Hamas in Gaza. Their bodies are still held in captivity. Our hearts go out to their families.

Dolev Yehud was a #paramedic and was murdered by Hamas during the October 7 massacre, when he left his house in order to try to save lives. His body was located in #Kibbutz Nir Oz. Following an identification process that was carried out by medical officials from the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and Shura military base, the IDF was able to identify his body. May his memory be a blessing.

The #IAF and the #HAF conducted a joint exercise in Greek skies this week. As part of the exercise, Boeing 707 refueling aircraft participated in the flights and refueled dozens of airborne #Hellenic Air Force fighter jets. This exercise was held in the framework of a planned training program and as part of the regional cooperation between the two countries.

Grandma Yocheved Lifshitz, freed from Hamas captivity, witnesses her grandson Private Afik who is following in the footsteps of his grandfather as a paratrooper, Oded, who is still held captive by Hamas. Our #soldiers will continue fighting to bring all our #hostages home.

Uncovered: 1.5km long terrorist #tunnel route in eastern Rafah containing dozens of anti-tank missiles and weapons was dismantled. Only 100 meters from the Rafah Crossing, our #soldiers located a tunnel shaft branching into several different routes that contained several blast doors, a hideout and additional facilities. The tunnels were used to carry out terrorist attacks against our forces. We will continue operating wherever Hamas is hiding in order to eliminate the threat they pose to Israelis.

Our Duty to Protect Our #Independence 76 years have passed since the #IDF was established during the War of Independence. We defended our civilians 76 years ago, and we will continue doing so always.
