Hello, my name is Martynas (or you might know me as Whitesand) and I am an aspiring composer, musician and artist. I started making music 4 years ago with no prior knowledge and experience, apart from playing guitar a little more than a year prior to that. It was a turning point in my life in so many ways. When I started my Youtube channel I just turned 22 and finished my bachelor's degree in another subject. I think up to that point in life I always knew I loved music and always imagined musicians jobs as the coolest one there was, but growing up I never believed in myself, I used to put myself down and think that it's impossible or its too late to pursue path like this. But anyway, we are here now, contrary to anything logical in my life I took a stand to pursue this path. I love music, I love the way it makes me feel. How it connects people and brings the best versions of ourselves. I grew up listening to Green Day and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. John Frusciante, from Red Hots, was always my biggest hero. I felt the sense of honesty and truth in his playing and his written music, music like that affects people deeper. Music like that, has isn't perfect, but that's the whole point. The reason why I am telling you this is because I do feel like music today has lost its way. What you hear on the radio or on the charts no longer feel authentic, no longer gives you connection. And I do want to fight for that, for that idea and vision that music can be both self-made, with newest technologies and authentic - honest and pure. That level of art is gained only through hard work which I am willing to put into my craft. This Patreon Page and support from you guys are one of the first major steps towards that vision.
