Turn on the news. What do you see?
 
 
Chances are they are talking about crime or war or disease or poverty or violence. Something very... negative.
 
 
The news makes us think that people are bad and foreign countries are dangerous. But my experience travelling through 40+ countries has taught me the opposite.
 
 
I believe:
 
 
That the world is full of kind, generous people who are proud of their countries. That's the message I want to share.

<h3>Current Project</h3> 
<h4>After a year and a half focusing content on Montreal, we are finally ON THE ROAD again! In November The New Travel will be off to Guatemala. From there, I'll be sharing my own experiences - the raw and real travel moments that you've become used to seeing. But I will also be seeking out larger stories. I recently did a call to action to viewers to tell me what stories they want to see on this channel. Some of these could be big projects that involve flying somewhere, dealing with logistics, or spending a long time filming a single project.</h4><h4>These are the &quot;deeper&quot; works that to me are the heart and soul of The New Travel. They don't always get as many views and they take much more time and resources. But with your support - this dream is possible. </h4><h4> </h4>
 
<h3>Why Do You Have a Patreon?

There's this funny myth on the internet that YouTubers are all rich.  
 
... whoever made that up clearly wasn't a YouTuber! 😂 
 
The reality is that each video takes multiple days of work: planning, researching, filming, and editing. A good video will look effortless in that I want it to be casual and relatable to viewers. But behind the scenes there's a lot of time going into each decision.

- Accomodation on out of city trips (cheap hostels &amp; Airbnb for the win!)
