| Video Discription | One key part of attending MedFest, or updating your sports physical with your current Doctor, is having your reflexes examined. In this activity, you will be testing your knee reflex! Reflexes are important when it comes to playing sports because strong reflexes increase the speed of your reactions. The ability to respond quickly to stimulus is important in many sports and day to day activities. A reflex is an involuntary action that the body does in response to something. When your knee jerk reflex is activated it only takes about 50 milliseconds between the tap and the start of the leg kick. That’s so fast!
